A faithful and practical travel companion for sale. It has reliably visited many European cities. As you know, this is one of the most reliable and economical engines in its class. The car is valued for its simplicity and cheap maintenance. About the car and its history: It has been serving faithfully in Lithuania since March 2012. An early import car, registered back in those dark times when requirements for ecology systems were different. Although by today's standards this might not be an exemplary ecological solution, the facts are proven: when connected to diagnostic equipment, it still surprises with very tidy parameters and certainly does not exhibit the same pollution levels as many significantly younger cars! Technical inspection was passed successfully and without major signs of stress this spring, so you can just get in and drive immediately. Tyres: Fitted with an excellent set of "premium" winter tyres. The car is fully prepared for winter challenges. Oil has been changed. There is a working hill-start assistant, which gently holds the car when starting to move if you are afraid of rolling back. The car's body is certainly not shiny. It perfectly reflects the experience of a long, uneasy life. It has visible corrosion damage (everything is visible in the photos). Some body parts already support natural, live air ventilation. The legendary 1.9 TDI and its character: The engine starts and runs perfectly. However, it has one signature feature: for about the last 3 years, no "golden-handed" mechanic has been able to solve the riddle of why, upon reaching 2000–2500 RPM, the power sometimes suddenly disappears (the so-called limp mode). But here, a wonderful sorceress comes to the rescue – the manual gearbox! After waving her magic wand, the power returns. Sometimes for a long time: a day, a week. Sometimes it requires more frequent attention. Or maybe it depends on the phase of the moon. With this unique car trait, about 45,000 km have already been driven successfully and without any problems, so it certainly doesn't hinder travel. It has been regularly serviced once or more often, depending on the kilometers, changing the oil and chassis parts. During that time, its character certainly didn't stop me from traveling. Thanks to the extremely spacious trunk and the tow hook, this Passat faithfully endured both trips with a holiday camper and construction work. It obediently transported a wide variety of construction materials. In the condition field, I marked "Average". What else to write? Ideal condition is missing even in new cars today. And here, at least everything is without any acting: what is supposed to rust, unfortunately, rusts; what is supposed to drive – drives! I am including an additional dowry: A full-size spare wheel with a summer tyre. An additional set of original alloy wheels (some with tyres, some without).
