For sale: 2012 VW GOLF 6 with the most economical 1.6 TDI diesel engine and DSG automatic gearbox. The car was used for business purposes, driving across all of Lithuania every day, so a lot of work has been done to improve fuel economy and maintain its technical condition. I kept fuel consumption records, so I can provide very accurate figures: average consumption on country roads 3.8l/100km, on the highway 4.7l/100km, in the city 6.2l/100km. Slightly more in winter. Work and improvements carried out over the last year: • DPF system repair for better fuel consumption; • EGR system delete for better fuel consumption; • Stage 1 chip installed to improve economy; • One rear shock absorber replaced; • New rear brake caliper; • New rear brake pads; • Replaced rear stabilizer; • New front wiper linkage; • Gearbox repair. The biggest issue of VAG models – the mechatronic unit – has been fixed, oil and gearbox filters replaced. The repair cost 1300€. Defects: • Scratches and light scuffs on the body, wheels have also seen better days; • Hit a snowbank in winter, so one side of the front bumper doesn't fit perfectly, lower bumper plastics are held by zip-ties (separate photo available); • Torn front seat; Equipment: • Good winter tires; • Adaptive 7-speed automatic gearbox that adjusts to your driving style; • Bluetooth and upgraded sound system. Sounds very clean and loud; • Dual-zone automatic climate control. AC works perfectly; • Heated front seats; • All 4 electric windows; • AUTO lights; • START-STOP system; • Cruise control; • Automatic interior locking upon reaching 20km/h; • Trunk partition for dogs, parcel shelf; • 2 keys; • Headlight washers; • Bi-Xenon headlights with daytime running lights (DRL) function. The light beam turns with the steering wheel, + they shine very well at night. These lights were only fitted to luxury Tiguan models or powerful Golfs; Overall, the Golf drives very well, accelerates, shifts gears, and brakes smoothly. It consumes very little fuel, yet fits the whole family, belongings, and a dog in the trunk. Selling because I no longer use it, and it's just taking up space in the parking lot. No pollution tax.
